Currently on holidays and I came across this amazing pet store in Georgetown, Penang.

As you might expect, some very exotic pets were available for sale including prairie dogs, meerkats, sugar gliders ($60AUD), fenec foxes, albino iguanas & macaws (apparently they recently had raccoons). Lots of snakes, reptiles, beetles, turtles, tortoises & spiders.

In terms of aquarium fish, obviously had heaps of different arowanas, bichirs, giant guoramis & other asian exotics not available in Oz. Bichirs were pretty cheap starting at around the $8AUD mark. Marine fish super cheap started at around $2AUD for damsel fish.

They didn't stock very many African cichlids at all (other than some peacocks, mainganos) although had some decent americans available in Oz.

How about a session on larger Malawi predator cichlids (Malawi hawks, trout, eye biters, sand divers, nimbos, vc10s, etc) - a lot of these species are becoming scarce, so hopefully a preso might encourage interest in breeding these types.
Also would be interested in a preso on quarantine /importing rules & which species have been lost to the Aussie aquarium hobby.

I have the same question - does anyone know if there are any other little hints to guess juvenile kadango sex? Eg fin shape?
