Had a few requests for an update on my Congo Biotope. Plants are pretty well established and fish back in.

The fish I have to put in are:

2 Pairs of Kribs, A mix of Congo, African Red-Eye and African Long-Fin Tetras, Some Upside-Down Cats, and a few African Butterfly fish.

The Branch is something I picked up travelling through the Pilbara. I have used the same stuff in my aquarium in the past, I just got the top of a branch this time with all the fine twigs. Wanted to watch my fish swim through it. It'll leach a bit of tannins, but I like a little colour to the water.

Hi All,

Just thought I'd share some pics of my Congo Biotope Rescape. Got a little bit bored with the previous look so I gutted the tank and started from scratch.

My Tank is 4x2x2, running 2x AquaOne CF1200's with Hydor 300 W inline Heaters, and CO2 via a pH controller. The lights are 3x Worx LED lights for plants, and at night I have a blue LED moonlight. The aquarium is drilled so everything runs external giving it a nice clean look. The backgound is painted black.

Pic 2 - Fitted a nice branch which I hope will give a burst its banks flooded forest look

Pic 4 - Final look. I planted Vallis along the back. Super glued Anubias and flame moss to the various pieces of driftwood and branch. Some Red Lotuses around the tank as contrasting colour focal pieces. In the foreground I have some Lilaeopsis I believe. I'm going to let the plants establish over the next couple of months and then move my fish back in.

Thanks for having a look.

#338244 Your Quick Response To This

It pays to do a little research, eh!

Not all countries laws are the same and Indonesia has highlighted drugs as a severe issue in their country and the punishment is obviously severe. Should those executed be incarcerated for lengthy periods prior, well this is usually dictated by the appeals process, every stone upturned, right!

I'm not an advocate of the death penalty at all, and the real tragedy here is what the families of all those executed have had to and are enduring.

Neglecting a country's sovereignty is perilous and history shows. They did execute one of their own citizen's as well, so it isn't like the Indonesian Government has any favoritism.

We mustn't forget...rehabilitated maybe, but they were criminals.

A stern warning to all who think they can go overseas and shun the law.

Gobies are extremely territorial so they have to be set-up correctly or you'll end up with just 1!
