I had 14 of them in a big tank. Dunno, they just never excited me. The colours were not great, they schooled nicely I suppose. Personally I would go with a large number of smaller brighter tetras but really mate its just personal preference.
On a side note this thread is getting weird! Usually im the one saying bigger fish are better and Jason is saying smaller ones are cooler...

Neons, cardinals, black neons, Gold pencils, green neons or for something a little bigger and different some hatchets or widows
