Insulating Pipes

Hey,
Is it possible to insulate pipes & sumps to hold the heat in better so it returns to the tanks warm, and will cut power down a little.

Yes I have done it to my pipes as my sump is outside the shed

one of the cheapest way to insulate pipes...this is what we did at work...next size up pipe and slide over the top....poly pipe and pvc.

 

there is all types of thermal sleeves you can get but they start getting expensive  and they are for safety on hot pipes and around corners we use firemans hose...thats about $8-10 a metre
