Cannister For 300L Recommendations

time to look at replacing the external cannister filter on my 300L tank, any recommendations?

 

i also live 450km from perth but gotta make a trip to get some teeth ripped out so which shop would be the best to visit (please don't say any of the sponsers because its already a long trip without having to shop around ;) )?

 

its a community tank-

discus

clown loaches

1 large bg knifefish

rummy tetras

danios

guppies

bristlenose

1 young gibbiceps

algae eaters

The Astro 2212 at Aquotix is a great unit that will suit your 300L I think.

If your tanks 300ltrs then get one rated for a 600ltr.

My tank is 280L, I have an Eheim 2217 which produces 900L of flow an hour. Over filtration is definitely better.

The above link can save you time if you cant make it to any of the sponsors on the day....

I would recommend an Astro 2210 or 2212 or an Eheim 2215 or 2217... Astros are easier to clean and 100% reliable.

I would still recommend picking one up from a sponsor directly so they can demonstrate it to you, and it gives you a chance to pick up extra stuff while you are there....

I have an eheim 2228 and an Astro 2212 running a 6x2x2 and find the Astro is easier to clean and prime. Eheim to prime I have to suck the outlet hose.

astro 2212 filter and 4 outlet bb 10200 pump, some beat me to the punch for the filter by 2hrs so have to wait a while for new stock to come in :(
