The waters pH is nearly ready for fish. The norm in my tanks is 7.5, the big tank is sitting at 7.9. I've drained and refilled 3 times, doing another today, hopefully the last one.

This weekend I plan on doing the lights too.

Water is in. pH has stabilised, a little higher than I want it.

The light unit is nearly ready. Its a giant pelmet and I will post it when it looks good tongue.gif When this happens I will also move in fish and plants.

I have also been working on a stream and pond, and its about the same stage as the tank... 80% done rolleyes.gif

Here is some eyecandy.

That will be finished when I find some more money/rocks/time/beer/plants/retic...

With that light shining over the background it's hard to tell its even fake. Looks like real rock.

Stream is cool. Any fish going in?

There is 14 pygmy perch and 5 neon rosy barbs for mosquito control. They work the whole stream, was pretty suprised when one made it up 4 of the water falls to the pump outlet. I'll get it finished and then work out if I want anything else in there.

The fake rocks are looking sweet, pretty chuffed really smile.gif

Is the stream base just pond liner?

Yep pondliner. Its doubled over at the edges and there is a second piece of liner under every rock to minimize punctures.

HAHA yeah stupid question. laugh.gif SHould have asked if you have it all on much of a slope or is the pump creating the direction of flow?

Yes there is a pump pushing 8500l/hr into the top stream pool area from the pond. The stream is a series of pools with a drop every 3m, this ensures a good flowing stream. the water only drops a few cm each time.

The fish are in, and the last bits of wood. Its very temping to fill it up with all the rock again but I want to put some plants in first.

Thanks everyone.

Hopefully get some plants in there soon. Going for mostly vallis, swords and crypts. I have a tank full outside, but the growth on them is weird so I will plant them and see what happens.

I added a few more rocks too...Could not help myself.
