I know buccal was using jarrah timbers to build the frames for ponds in the past.
as for the Malawi trout Q, Im not sure, they are from areas of the world, but I seen some real bizzare fish combinations work in the past.

If it's one of them free standing poly tubs then it shouldn't need any support, they only recommend supporting the fibre glass ones because they are meant to go in the ground.
