Welcome mate,
Dont worry about Az, he secretly wants to keep Americans but I think he is concerned he may not be manly enough. (In case you think this is getting strange and you havent read it yet check out this thread: http://www.perthcich...topic=56272&hl=)... Tank looks great, I really like dark sub straights and backgrounds with Malawi's.
What species have you got in there?

I also have a 90lt tank with a colony of brichardi kiku's and a 60lt with 2 shellies.
and a planted 20lt fluval tank with dwarf gourami's and tetras I want to remove the gourami's and make it a shrimp tank but am not sure about the legalities with the fisheries

Just dont tell anyone about the shrimp and no one will know.
I quite like dwarf gourami's, I have two in with my cherry shrimp, royal whiptails and some tetra's. Shrimp still seem to be multiplying though perhaps not as quickly as before.
What are you filtering with in your 1500?

That tank would look awesome with 100 or so shrimp doing their thing. Nice dwarf gourami too, they look so good with tetras in small planted tanks.
