hey guys im gunna grow some hardy cichlid fry outdoors this summer , im after around 4000L , have thought of using 4 x 1000L 1metre cubes.

anyone have a economical idea of what i could use , import things are wall hight ( minimal : for catching fry upto 1m is good )

total area ( minimal wasted space : hence 1m cubes being great )

have been told i can get these 1m cubes ( the ones in the metal cage/pallet thingo )

i dont wanna dig holes either

have heard cubes = 100 - 120 bux each

clarke rubber has large swimming pool with pump for $399

any other suggestions???

Ive seen the blokes at city farmers use large bits of wood, like those on the train tracks whatever there called, and then use pond liner and thats what they use for all their outside ponds.

"clarke rubber has large swimming pool with pump for $399 "

Pretty sure places like Toys R Us etc have Rubber Pools for $99 with pump. (not sure on the capacity tho. maybe only 1600~ litres) maybe you could get a couple of those....

"like those on the train tracks whatever there called" - railway sleepers??

HI Steve my pond hasnt gone down to the farm yet could be talked into letting it go. Cant see the point in wasting it for fermenting wine and not keeping fish.
