If you cant afford the difference from $800 to $1400 then you can't afford to keep a red tailed catfish long term.

There not going to be available long so snap them up guys. These fish are rare that's why price is what is.Most  smaller Tb's cost a fair bit. There are also indo dats available for 1.5k and silver arrows for 1.2k.

One of those fish that these days is worth whatever you're willing to pay if that makes sense.

I reckon they are worth paying $1.4K for because I would prefer to own an RTC than to have $1.4k in my wallet... Having said that, its been a while since I've had a spare $1.4k... Damn kids!!!

I have split these from the original topic in classifieds, it has evolved into more of a discussion, and seen as Monolicious has given no more details than a picture and price, I struggle to see it as too relevant to a classifieds post.

Continue :)

This price is generous compared to the value of these fish IMO.
Exotics are rare, and as mentioned juveniles are what is sort after, it's great to see such fish available at this size, price regardless.
TBs all the way!

Wouldn't you need a heated pond to keep a RTC?

Only thing unattractive about this photo is my mug. If someone has to explain what is cool/attractive about a red tailed catfish... well then, put simply, you wouldn't understand. :P

The red tailed catfish at midland is one of the worst I have ever seen. Horrible colouration and has always looked grossly underfed. The tankbusters at midland were Amazing when Gary owned the store many moons ago, ever since they have been a shadow of their former glory.
