I'd definitely be using a rubber pond liner inside it or at the very least a thick coat of paint on pond liner (the crommelins stuff is good). Also make sure there is a of a lot of external bracing, as 400 gallons is about 1500kgs of water and you don't want that on your living room floor. Draw up a design and maybe have someone who has some experience with these things take a look over it and do the first fill outside

there's a bloke who builds these types a ponds and advertises on facebook and gumtree.
something like A2M aquariums or something?
