Ok so I know it's not quite aquaponics, but I'm putting in an IBC to store water from water changes and was wondering if I could do something similar for my pool water when I backwash? The chlorine shouldnt be a problem if the water is stored for any period of time but I was worried about the level of salt in the water. Is it likely problematic and are there any solutions to the problem that DON'T involve buying the expensive RO pumps?

Hey mate
I had a RO unit for a while for my marine top ups...... I say had because it was such a water waster!! I could get around 12lt a day from the unit but the amount of waste water was huge so off it went... Give your pool water a test and see what the salt content is, if it's low I'd say go for it, I don't see too much wrong with it as long as the chlorine and salt content is low enough
