Read the articles, a very small percentage of those available which confirm that immunity CAN be genetic

If you disagree then as a supposed scientist, please attach a link completely refuting that immunity can never have a genetic basis

Otherwise you make unsubstantiated claims

Viruses DO mutate, just because it hasn't been discovered yet in KHV is not a guarantee that it will never happen

Sorry guys but we do certainly see instances of genetic immunity and resistance to viruses

For example HIV  www.hivplusmag.com/research-breakthroughs/2016/3/23/anyone-immune-hiv

and Hepatitis C www.thelancet.com/journals/laninf/article/PIIS1473-3099(14)70965-X/fulltext?rss=yes

Of course these are not the Koi Herpes Virus but these examples do show that  individuals may have immunity to a virus

As such a population of carp may develop resistance or immunity to the KHV and rapidly re-populate resulting in a complete waste of time and resources in trying to eradicate them in the 1st place as well as lingering KHV in other hosts even bristlenose catfish   www.int-res.com/articles/dao_oa/d105p163.pdf

And yes viruses DO mutate and change their activity and infectivity eg Asian Influenza pandemic 1957  www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2862331/

Good to have some sensible discussion on the PCS again by the way

3. Viruses can mutate - what long term studies can prove it wont mutate in 10 to 50 years to attack other fish or other animals, birds, people? When it reaches its peak saturation and you have virus rich waters, and reduced number of carp hosts, can a mutation jump to new hosts? Did you ever hear of swine flu or bird flu? viruses jumping hosts is not a new thing, maybe our government is jealous of these other countries having dangerous viruses skipping from animals to people, I guess a new fish flu epidemic could put us Aussies on the map!

I agree

I remember a Will Smith documentary a few years ago where they showed that a virus used to cure cancer ended up turning people into albino zombies

Advocating fraud on a public forum not a good idea.

I have alerted my friend at RAC insurance  :)

I'm sure however that the executions have made other potential drug smugglers strongly consider their future actions

THAT is a positive

Who said it was a lot of money?

And good for you for trying to turn this into a pissing contest lol.

Was merely stating that If he wants more, I have access to them and they're not as much as what Tarpon paid.

Appreciate it Ronny

Point I'm trying to make is being lost. There are SOME on here prepared to pay whatever for whatever fish they want. Paying $60 for a 4cm fish is no problem for me
I am not here to offend anyone but you smoke $360 in a week, well I'm too embarrassed to tell you what I spend on holidays, fishing, dinner etc
