That's a cracking idea nice one.

Also please don't quote the post directly above, it's pointless and clogs pages. Cheers.

its something the Professional cabinat makers should incorporate into there designs...especialy with the larger tanks because the filter are bloody heavy when they are full...

heres a idea set it up with a cable and pully system so when you open the door it pulls the draw forward...you could run the cable down the side of the gas struts.

Quoting the post directly above is against guidelines and its pointless. It's easy to follow a conversation without quoting the post directly above.

Back on topic.
Great idea.

this is my first time vanishing/stain but l think it turned out pretty good smile.gif
l still need to clear coat the vanish then lve got to find some "scissor stays" like you
see on the card tables but bigger, bunnings have them buy they are to small and still need adjustable feet.
if anyone knows where to get them. give me a yell lol

Wouldn't you run that stuff behind the stand so it's not visible ?
Thought the point behind not having visible hinges ect was to have it clean and seamless.
The thing looks bloody fantastic mate A1. Pipes and cords out the side would bring it down. Just my thoughts.

The steel was under $170 for 40x40x2mm and the steel work was about 5 1/2 hrs. the wood l couldnt tell you cause l used alot off cuts from the boss job. but l think it was $8 for 2.5h mtrs lengh and took about 5 hrs. if anyone is interested in abit of a DIY project l could do all the metal work and you could do the wood work to save you money. your welcome to come have lookies.. laugh.gif

How did the doors turn out? Can you put up a picture with them open?
