Probably not bowdy, the back light even at low light would mess with the exposure of the picture, leaving you with a blurry picture of some light without being able to see the contents of the aquarium.

Just an educated guess, I could be wrong and would love to see a full tank shot with the back light on smile.gif

I'll see if I can get a good shot of it this evening with the backlight going...

mate,

looking awesome! The light box at the back through frosted glass is really neat feature. Can I ask what the substrate is that the un-planted 'beach' area is made from (and where you got it)? Cheers.

it's just white silica. hard to keep clean, but I expected that. I just vacuum it up every now and then. I got a whole bag, so that I can remove and replace the sand when it gets too dirty.

I'll post some photos on Friday (day 14 biggrin.gif)

I moved a couple of plants around the other day, and I was surprised at how much root growth the Swords had.
I've also trimmed and replanted some of the Ambulia and the stem plant at the back, bulk it up a bit.

HC is a slow grower sad.gif
Riccia is doing alright.

So... I've put in an extra 4 Angles, they are about half the size of the original pair, and the original male is really aggressive to the new fellas. Should I just give them time to get used to each other?

The original angels aborted their eggs, most of them went white anyways, as they usually do sad.gif

You shouldn't introduce more angelfish in to an existing aquarium after a pair has formed. Also a community tank isn't a breeding tank, so you'll find that the eggs will keep going white or get eaten by the angelfish parents.

Very nice looking scape by the way.

Just an update...

Removed the HC, it wasn't really growing too well, and the fish kept pulling them out. The angel fish also ate all the Riccia sad.gif
Have planted Glosso instead and has taken root and slowly spreading. Also put in more hairgrass.
I've re-arranged the rock wall slightly and added some new pieces to give it a bit more bulk.
Added a temporary set of2xT8 lights to give the plants a little boost.

Water is a bit hazy after disturbing some soil and scrubbing the rock faces.

Great pic. The blue on the angels really stands out and the orange colour of the loaches is a good contrast.
