i think its name is Parancistrus aurantiacus. thats alls i know i know it as xanto

have only seen a few, usally kept by ppl who get rare or exotic plecos


as of getting hold of them here try posting a notice on here or plecofanatics, got a mango phantom pleco once before from pfanatics

as far as i know the only ones around are on the plecoplanet forum

The yellow rubber pleco L56y
Not many here in Aus rare as
and they would cost a small fortune
some one from over East was selling them for $2500 each for males only!!

the one i saw was yello and black solid colours like atwo tone car paint job the guy told me it waqs a xanto thats all he new amazing fish though

Very pricey for the 046's. A few grand a pop.

I dont like the look of those yellow ones either, looked like deformed albino BNs lol.

But each to their own I guess.

Last time they were for sale on here they were. $4500 for 3 fish at 3cm.

That was the first and last time I have seen them on here. In all of my time on the forum.

you obviously didnt look in the members classies!!! i arranged to bring 15 of them from over east... for 1k each at 5-5.5cm.... a while back.... and sold the lot in a few days.....

thats up to the owners to disclose if they feel they wish to.... takes a while for these fish to mature enough to breed... and being a hypancistrus species they breed better in colonies with competition among themselves for breeding..... so having a pair only gives a lower chance of successfull spawning.....
