Hi there guys I'm setting up my new 6x2x2 tank and was wondering roughly how much sand I would need to cover the bottom with abit of depth ? Thanks

I would recommend going to soils ain't soils and getting 3 or 4 bags of their white sand or river sand.

50-60kg at least, it depends how thick you like Yuit substrate to be.
Personally I like it to be at least 5-6 cm deep, so I go hard on sand, so my cichlids can enjoy sifting it and whatnot

And I like very minimal sand, so detritus and other nitrogenous waste cant build up in.

so I used a 20kg bag for my 7x2.5.

Depends on application and what you want to achieve really.

180cm x 60cm x 3cm (insert you own desired depth) / 1000 = 32L (equals about 85kg of sand)
