Hi guys, thort someone on here would be able to assist with the ID of this little guy that came in with the suckingcatfish at work, i think it may be a Garra Rufa doctor fish that has snuck into the country so thort a second opinion would be best.. possibly a labeo species?

I assume its his full colour as ive had him for a few weeks now and he hasnt changed at all

Hard to tell for sure, but you might be right - ideally you should notify your supplier.... AQIS are aware that garra rufa are not in Oz (legally) so I would not advertise it and check back with the supplier if they are importers...
It could be a Labeo sp, some of which are importable....

Look up Labeo cyclorhynchus - Variegated shark, Harlequin shark... The marble pattern does not appear until it is older

Thanks docfish, definatly redembles the harlequin shark, and has the same swimming style as a labeo species, I guess I'll have to wait and see what it turns out like.. Cheers
