I recall some people on here discussing jellyfish and the cost of enclosures, so thought I'd share this DIY tank.

haha, nah I've no intention of building one.

My two tanks keep me busy enough, just thought it would be a handy reference for others.

Just use whichever one is less of a hassle I reckon. prob the cylinder.

Though with the rectangular tank at least you don't get the distortion from looking through curved glass.

I've been doing a bit of research into jellyfish species specifically the ones common the Perth waters and so far I've found some really interesting things.... The moon jellyfish common to our waters is the "Aurelia Aurata" but there are ten species in the Aurelia family that are almost identical and have to be genetically tested for species identification smile.gif the "moon jelly" is found all over the world and in water that is as low in salt content as 6 ppm!! I spoke to one of the aquarists at AQWA about there jellies and they were all collected from our local waters by members of there team smile.gif I'm really looking forward to this project I think it's going to be a lot of fun smile.gif
