The Planting Fun Begins!

I changed the substrate and added a layer of larger gravel with crushed Dino dung tabs and Azoo substrate ferts

Pics!!

Black gravel and ferts

Then I put more of the original gravel over the top so you can see the multiple layers and the ferts don't into the water column

Then I started planting:

List of Plants so far:

Cryptocoryne Wendtii
Rotala Macranda
Ludwigia Arcuata
Alternathera Reinickii
Rotala sp green
Bacopa Monnieri

A big thanks to Gezza and Aquotix for the plants.

Thanks for looking, sorry for the bad pics

I think I have enough plants in there, just maybe some more Bacopa and Bolbitis :)

Any recommendations are welcome.

Yeah, I originally wanted to do that but unfortunately the wood is really hard to balance and when I did get it to balance it didn't look very good.

The light will be set up tomorrow.... Plants are staying down well but the driftwood isn't :( Wants to float up:(

New wood will usually try to float for a while. Keep it weighted down with a rock and eventually it will get waterlogged and stay down. Nothing to worry about mate :)

Looking good too!

Going to have a proper look at it on the weekend... But the annoying this is that I had to empty the tank and take the cabinet outside to dry.

Man that sucks.

Im gonna fill up my top tier four footer tonight on my home made cabinet... First time I ever built one so I may have an even bigger clusterfairy on my hands... Might take the Mangrove Jack out the bottom first in case it all goes balls up.
