Hi its Aaron here. Ive been a member here for a while but never got around to introducing myself. I had a 15 year lay off keeping fish and then decided to pull out the old five footer from the dusty shearing shed. The hood and stand were made from old jarrah floorboards from an old farm house wreck that my father helped me to build. Since bringing that old tank back to life it ignited a passion/obsession that is a little hard to keep under control. Currently I have 2x 2foot tanks housing electric yellow fry and albino bristlenose breeding pair. I have a 4x2x2 footer housing some kipilli frontosa, synodontis petricola, lelupi and alto gold heads. the five footer is home to the electric yellows and I have recently got oliver to build me a 7x2.5x2 tank. This new tank is going into my shop, the Dumbleyung Roadhouse. It will be situated in the middle of the shop and should help the customers kill some time while waiting for there meals etc. I hope to put the Tangs in this tank , I will post pics up when the tank gets set up. I have enjoyed all the advice on the forum as I consider myself a beginner in keeping fish after such an absence from keeping fish.
Thanks
Aaron

Welcome Azza, post up some pics of the tank in your shop once it's up!

What's the water like out there - do you need to treat it much to keep Africans?

Welcome Azza,
I went to school with a young fella from Dumbleyung a years back. I'm sure you would know him, makes himself very known.
Can't wait for the pics. It will be a bit of a change from average wheat belt roadhouse

Thanks for the warm welcome folks.
Those little 2 footers are great thanks Jason,
Cawdor, the waters ph is around 8.2, and I have bought some eco complete African cichlid substrate (zac black) from one of our sponsors so hopefully I should be okay.
Just gotta finish treating the stand so hopefully get some pics up after the longweekend.
Androo I am curious about your Dumbleyung contact??

hahaha, yes that's all weve had to get excited about, but times are changing and its been a long time coming. Must admit though I''m happy when the eagles beat an eastern state team so im not completely one eyed.
