#303822 Any Sun Conure Breeders?

Posted by westcoastpara on 02 January 2014 - 03:05 PM

Sun conures were the birds that got me interested in birds. I've owned an alexandrine previously and but i wouldn't buy a sun conure. Stunning birds but too noisy for me.

A lovebird might be the bird for you. A hand reared one will cost you less than $100. Check out fischers lovebirds. Not sure how easy those are to get, ive never looked into them.

Ive got a turquoise peach face. Not noisy at all. Obviouisly they're a parrot so there is some bird-type noises but they're quite nice. I do some work with black cockys so ive got an idea of what a noisy bird sounds like :-)

Really? That's it?

Don't make the mistake I did before I knew anything about tropheus...vege foods only. I bought my first couple at around 7-8 cm and put them in my grow out tank where I was feeding high protein food. Didn't last too long in there.

I may have some DMZ. Not sure if its DMZ or Metro. Will let you know, you can grab some of mine rather than buy, mines probably gonna go to waste evetually anyway
