Cannignvale markets, the look like sleepys and label them as freshwater cod. my mate bought some off them, I think you have to ask for them live. they look pretty shabby, but cheap! should condition up in the correct parameters (I was last there 2 and half months ago and seen them)

Gumtree is your best bet. Butis butis come up at LFS from time to time. Coal grunters are quite rare in WA. Ive only seen 2 sold in the last couple of years... there was probably more though.
livefish.com.au have had them listed as out of stock for as long as I can remember but keep checking there because they are a good source of natives when sponsors cant get what you want.

Anyone had a good time keeping Tandanus together? Sold the Barra n put the Butis and smaller tandanus in and the smaller tandanus is copping it off the larger one.

Tandanus are bad eggs. Get rid of the big one.

have a couple of poor shots on the lasses phone but we are both luddites. I cant get them onto the computer yet let alone transfer them to here. I have MM,s old one and a smaller one that is a mirror image of the one in Klienz,s posts. It seems odd about the lack of availability, was working on a site yesterday, queenslander there owns a property in qld with a creek that flows into the mary river he reckons they are as common as. Maybe there is no wild collection licences or do they just not realize how keen some people would be.Have you considered a couple of young salmon tails? or do they not suit the bio type? I got my 1st ones this year and think theyre really cool. Super fast growing but i have the tank upgrades sorted for when i need them. Hope your on top of those water issues, good luck :)

Yep I am. Testing everyday and waterchanges daily. Dont really like salmon tails for some reason. Anybody got a suggestion for some fish that'll hold there own against an a-hole? Tandanus n butis are doing fine with him but I wanna fill the tank a little. Stock it up a little and even spread the aggression?

archers are cool but my history with them is poor :(  :rip:  I think scats are super cool, were among mine and the grandkids faves until a power outage cost me all the stock on one side of the shed.bit tough on plants though which probably doesnt suit what your trying to do.
