I've had them for a while now, and was wondering when, if ever they'd get the mood.

Phenochilus Tanzania, holding a brood....

And here are the red jewel fry free swimming 1 week after they laid eggs

They're as prolific breeders as convicts

Just had a batch of Axolotl's hatch and more eggs laid over night. Anyone know where I can buy baby hatched brine shrimp or eggs?

It's more economical and convenient to hatch your own. I hatch them every second day ..takes me all of five minutes to harvest the bbs and to set up the new culture. I buy the eggs online at primo.

The 2 Keyhole Cichlids that I had to seperate off from the main tank spawned this morning.

Hopefully the photo works.

Edit: they're either both girls or he has no clue what to do. All eggs are white and infertile 😢

Give them a few goes at it. My pair are minding free swimmers at the moment but took about 7 spawns before getting it right. Won't take them long before they try again

Yeah I know. They are a bonus. Only together in tank to protect from my more dominant pr and it was also their 1st time.

They respawned Saturday afternoon.

Edit: Everything following:

Same spawning site as earlier, he has made the pit that is beneath him.

One of my goldfish which I bred last spring has dropped eggs.
I found eggs attached to the hair algae too this evening.

it's a bit early and cold I would have thought and wasn't planning to breed these guys yet but yay! At least I know for sure this one is a female lol
