Hi All,

Wasnt impressed with my old 2ft planted tank so in disgust went and bought all new goodies and started over again haha.
Im quite happy with what its turned out like so far considering i only set it up lastnite and rushed it a bit. **Please note the 3 rocks resting on the gold vine wood are only temp as the wood isnt 100% water logged yet, they'll be gone in 2 weeks.
Let me know what you think so far.

Tank: 2x18x18 Euro Braced Open Top, Black silicon
Cabinet: Red Sea Max 130d silver cabinet

Wood: Gold Vine wood
Substrate: Krystal Black sand
Fauna: Espei Rasboras, Otto's
Flora: Anubias nana/nana petite
Java Fern- Normal, Narrow leaf, Windelov, Tropica

Fissendens
Val- Native Australian Kimberly

Thanks all for the positive comments, appreciate it smile.gif
Forgot to add that the cabinet is a red sea max cabinet that i managed to score for free and it was still in its box!

Waxy- You can get the Krystal black sand from Aquotix. Only new in but awesome stuff.

Danny- "Another aquatic inspiration" Now thats a big compliment, thank you.

Well its been 2weeks now so decided to remove the rocks and hope for the best, and luckily the gold vine is now completely waterlogged!
Badly need the lily pipes and external heater, such an eyesore atm. Having a few problems with even flow throughout the tank but nearly got it sorted.
The school of Espei's are now out from hiding and extremely active, super intense red/orange colouration on them. Still waiting on some Cuprisorb then will chuck in a heap of CRS.

Took a few new shots now the rocks are gone for those who requested it. Let me know what you think.

Cheers for the comments guys!

I got the Gold Vine from City Farmers in Malaga of all places, first shop in Perth ive found it in. Been over east for ages but not in Perth.
And the plants are from my other planted tanks i shut down, started off with a small amount and just let them grow. Also got a large amount from Oliver.

Havent updated in ages now and the tank is crazily overgrown!
Nothing different changed with the tank except letting it grow wild. Espei's still breeding like mad and also have a bunch of A grade and S grade CRS happily breeding in there too. Just thought id chuck up a quick photo before it gets a major revamp, sorry for the poor quality photo.
Let me know what you think.
