Selling in the Auction is for Financial Members only.

However, Aaron is becoming a club member at the Auction.

Just explaining before we get any comments. smile.gif

Thank you

You need to connect it to the hose from the tap. then you can hang on the side of the tank so you can fill it up. There is a tap so you dont get the floor wet.

considering the hose is still 15mm so 15lpm max depending on your taps pressure (its surprising how many houses i goto struggle to manage that.) if you select proper trigger nozzle u will achieve that 15lpm, though your 25mm drop tube would reduce the amount of pressure the water collides at and therefore les gravel shifted by impact. youw ill still only achieve 15lpm as the feed is from a standard garden hose. i cant really see issues with it. was just stating the way i do mine.

all my figures are approximates based on my trade.

I'll buy one Arron. I'll be at the auction.

It can be used for siphon also.

Something handy would be if u could not glue the tube that enters the tank. That way you can provide another 1 or 2 different size lengths allowing different drainage heights depending on the size of the water change.

A small cage fitting on the end would be a bonus too preventing fish from getting sucked up.

Hey Dazzabozza

just so you all know. they arent for syphoning as such they are for re-filling the tanks. the reason i made them is because a few friends and i have quite a few tanks and standing there with a hose and having to kink it in one hand and having to do things one hannded is a real pain and water getts everywhere. ( this happed to me ) we use one at work (midland pet and Aquaruim) and because of the numerous tanks it helps so much.

im up to 12 tanks now (woooh)

so just to clarify they re-fill tanks and are a great help, espcially to those who have a mumber of tank. )and i know a lot of you do! 8)

Cheers

Arron

I made a few of these a couple of years back and still use them today .
You can use to syphon as well just do the same as filling the tank but as the water starts to flow into the tank disconnect the hose at the tap end and the water will start to run in reverse creating a syphon effect.
Also if you cut the lenght of pipe that sits in the tank to the desired lenght then it will syphon until the water gets to that lvl then just reconect the hose to refill.
Its a very quick way to do water changes and very accurate as well..... will always change the same amount of water ..which makes it very easy to calculate water conditioner amounts , meds , buffers etc etc.

Brad.

Hey Az,

Can I grab one too please, But can I make a change in mine.
The end of the pipe where the water comes out, Can you put another elbow, So the water coming out doesnt go straight to the bottom of the tank stirring up the gravel.

Cheers
Az

Yep. They should siphon well assuming there are no major leaks/entry points for air to get into the pipe.

When you make mine don't glue the downward pipe that enters the tank pretty please. If you wanna provide a couple different lengths of pipe even better smile.gif
