After my my incident with Vebas, I posted on here to warn others!
But your bias forum says can only say nice things about sponsors not truthful ones...
Please remove all my details, I will not be interacting with this forum again, I can't trust the information in here is true and correct...
Off to Aquarium Life...

1 bad experience out of thousands is bias! Good luck at AL its a great forum... I and a lot of other members here are members there.
Vebas has helped the club and hobbyists for a long period of time. There isnt a big write up everytime something good goes down so the odd bad experience being written about isnt a fair representation. What you are mistaking as bias is actually loyal customers supporting a business that supports us. Good luck at AL but the WA contingent there will agree Vebas are fantastic and are usually pretty good at resolving issues...

not trying to be funny but you've been on here 2.5 months, so if you would like to whinge about a sponsor and not want to be here anymore then BYE BYE :D

(and yes certain times people have trouble with different fish shops, but we all know that every day is different, and there's a good chance that the next time it will be a great experience)

I've found Vebas very helpful over the 10 or more years i've been going there. One of the few shops that actually gets back to you when they say they will. I don't see how isolating yourself from a forum is going to achieve anything. Vebas are just one of many sponsors on the forum who care enough about the hobby to support it. If you don't like something then don't buy it, if you don't like someone then don't go there. As someone above said, your on here a nano second, don't financially support the club and your already going to spit the dummy and take your bat and ball home when things don't go your way. Life is about give and take, not just taking, so thanks for flashing by and can you please close the door on the way out thanks.

You all miss the point... When I post my dissatisfaction my post was promptly removed! Ie only positive comments are allowed...that is bias.
Yes I've dealt with Vebas when Harry had it in Palmyra... Not the same store that's for sure...

Anyway not going to carry on over $12 any longer life's too short. Good luck to you all and wherever you choose to shop.

I am sorry you feel that way Fishandme3, I hope you hang around.

Your post was not removed, it was hidden by a Moderator for further discussion and that person contacted Vebas for you to help resolve the issue.

The reason for this was it was against our forum policy as stated here -

3. Please refrain from naming businesses or products for negative feedback. If you have a problem, try and work it out with the shop in question. If that doesn't work you can contact the RSPCA for animal cruelty concerns or the Department of Commerce (1300 304 054) for problems with equipment etc.

There is no bias, we don't allow naming of any stores and negative feedback to be posted here. It's not the place for it. It's best to try resolve the issue which as you can see the Mod has tried to help with.

Hope your issue gets resolves, try not to be too hasty. There are a bunch of great folks here and these sponsor stores are actively supporting the hobby and the hobbyists in Perth.

Negative feedback where you can't see a clear ratio of positive vs negative transactions (eBay you can) is misleading, biased and inaccurate. Checkout sites like productreview.com.au where people majority of the time go to the effort to post negative feedback because they're fuelled by emotion. The other 95% don't bother posting their positive experience because they have no reason to (unless they want to help promote the store / product).

Negative feedback does little to protect the club and / or members. If there were real concerns about our sponsors we'd know about it (through private communication) and take action. Bad experiences are a reality, will always occur, no store or person is perfect - mistakes will be made. From a frequency perspective for someone like Vebas who have high turnover they'd still have a very small percentage of dissatisfied customers. They've been around for donkeys years, if they were that bad that someone feels the need to "warn" others about them then they wouldn't have lasted this long.

Let's say we allowed the negative feedback to occur it would create unnecessary activity burning time of the people volunteering to run the club to address the defamation concerns (in some cases threats of legal action) of the business (sponsor or not). The person posting the negative feedback thinking they're "protecting" others is in fact doing the opposite. Why create tension and stress within the club? Why potentially risk a relationship the PCS has with someone like Vebas who have contributed for well over a decade because someone feels the need to vent? There's no place for it here and plenty of places you can. The PCS relies on its members and sponsors to survive - http://www.perthcich...showtopic=24767
