Hi guys,

Has anyone got their eyes fixed?
I know that there's a few clinic that do eye laser and fix your view, and looking a bit deeper into that, so just checking if anyone has got any experience on that?

I talked to Perth Laser vision in Murdoch and they seem to know what they're talking about, can someone recommend somebody else?

I worked for an optometrist for 7 years. Also had friends get laser surgery too. Perth Laser hey? That's Dr PHIL!
You're best off chatting to an optometrist and see who they refer their customers too most often, and get to know the potential risks, benefits and so on. There's different procedures like LASIK and Lasek? All dependant on how stable your prescription has been the last few years, thin corneas etc. My cousin got laser and needed glasses 3 years later. People can get very sensitive to sunlight afterward too, so need sunnies after laser. I wouldn't do it, but that's just my preference.

Jason, my optometrist suggested to go and talk to DR Phil, and everyday while I drive to work i hear his spot at the radio and it kinda went into my head and now I want to do it :P
...Power of social media ...

Why wouldn't you do it?

They said that there is 96% chance that I won't need glasses for at least 10 years , that's all I'm hoping for

Johnno I don't have cataracts, I am just blind without glasses/contact lenses and would like to get rid of them

Apart from the potential risks, Isn't it also quite dear? my neighbor had it done and apparently suffered some kind of infection (don't know if that's what it is) and was temporarily blinded in one eye for nearly 3 weeks!

I have also contemplated it Mattia, but have embraced glasses life - think of them as a fashion accessory and IQ multiplier! :Rofl_3f:
