MARCH AUCTION

Tuesday 3 March, at the Rotary Hall, Sandgate St, South Perth.

The doors will open at 7pm. You can assist us by PRE-BOOKING lots here.

The selling of Lots is open to Financial Members only
You can join as a PCS club member on the night prior to the Auction.

Non-Financial Members pay 10% commission on the sale amount
The auction is for anything “fish related ” including any species of fish, (not hybrids)
Rocks, Gravel, Substrate, Bogwood, Heaters, Filters, Lights, Plants & Tank Accessories.

Pictures of mature/adult fish will be projected onto the screen if Lots are registered prior to the 2nd March.

All fish must be a minimum of 3cm or half of the adult size. Fish smaller than this will be disallowed.

Email your lots for sale to Dave, "me AT davidfowler.net" AND reply to this post listing the items you are bringing with numbers, size, sex if known, etc.

All fish must have full scientific name & be bagged correctly. FISH BAGGED INCORRECTLY WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. No sandwich bags or ziplock bags allowed.

THERE WILL BE A $1 CHARGE FOR RE-BAGGING FISH

The PCS reserves the right to remove lots which are diseased or do not comply with its regulations (this includes ALL hybrids).

We would ask ALL members to be more considerate to other members and refrain from talking whilst bidding is in progress. If these certain members feel the need to chat, then please leave the Auction room and have your chat outside. Many members feel this is not only rude but very inconsiderate.

There will be supper available at the interval.

Hope to see you all there.

If you are unfamiliar with the location see Map on Home page.

November Meeting

27 October 2008 - 08:41 PM

The next meeting of the Perth Cichlid Society will be on Tuesday 4th of November 2008 at the Rotary Hall, Sandgate St, South Perth. See map on Home page for directions. Doors open 7.30pm - meeting starts 8.00pm.

Guest Speaker will be David Fowler who will be discussing HOME MADE FISH FOOD.

NEW FEATURE: our general meetings will now have a Question and Answer forum. This will take place immediately after the talk so we hope all members will take this opportunity to ask any fish-keeping questions they might have.

SHOW TABLE: Financial Members - bring along a fish in a tank to enter this competition. See SHOW TABLE

Don't forget the Member's Prize which must be won on the night so any member at the meeting has a chance of winning!

You can also enjoy our fabulous new supper facilities and the RAFFLE will once again feature a great range of prizes donated by our Sponsors and members. Don't forget if you have any fish you no longer want, you can bring them along and place them on the Raffle Table.

Missing Photographers !

18 October 2008 - 07:32 AM

Where have all our photographers gone? In response to many requests we have opened up our latest photography competition to ALL FORUM USERS and the result has been very disappointing.

Due to the small number of entries received we have had to extend the competition for at least another month.

If you are worried that your camera cannot complete with more expensive models - don't be. Your name is not attached to your entry so you can be quite anonymous - unless you are a winner! Yes, the criteria for this competition is the photograph rather than the tank and fish, but you don't need to be an expert with an expensive camera to take a great picture.

Don't forget that there is also a prize for the most popular tank that will be voted on by all forum users regardless of the quality of the photograph.

So start taking photos and send them in to Dazza!

Info here http://www.perthcich...showtopic=19298 on how to submit your entries etc.
