There is no such things as too much!

I was using all Ehiem... a 2226, a 2026 and in internal that did a 6 foot tank as well.

thanks for the replies so far guys...

i think this info is useful... it will give people an idea of whats available and how much filtration they should have ...etc

im still learning myself about filters and realising that the more the merrier your fish will be.

I thought pond pumps are usually quite noisy... not so much when used outdoors, but indoors? biggrin.gif

4x18x18 - eheim 2213 + eheim 2217

4x18x18 - fluval 404 + eheim 2215

40L fry tank - aquaclear mini

just one thing i recently learned about cannisters... the fluvals like almost 4 years old now. was working fine tho.

then i put it in my shed for a few months, with the lid open. i guess the hot/dry environment cooked the o ring that seals the damn thing... came in to see about 30L of water on the new carpet ohmy.gif luckily i didnt go out or it would have been more like 230L.

now i store anything rubber in an airtight container, cool dry place ....

If you spnd the right money and buy a decent brand they are silent. eg eheim, ocean runner, laguna, aqua bee etc.

i just got a eheim 2226 to go with my 6fter.

when i put it next to my aqua one aquis 1200 there is not much differrence in build. are the aqua ones from japan? tongue.gif definately a copy

at first with the eheim, i didnt like the tube connections and thought the ones on the aquis are much better.
the 2226 is quiet, just as quiet as the 1200. the size of the canister is almost the same.

maybe the motor is much more better with the eheim? only time will tell.

disappointed with how short the tubes are with the 2226 where as the ones on the 1200 are about a metre long

yeah i do not mind the aqua one brand

golden_dase are you happy with your aquis's?

thanks
