#341895 Urgent !!!

Posted by aquacouple on 18 July 2015 - 10:08 AM

Is it a tilapia butterkofferi? Or a Pseudotropheus crabro? Both are called a "hornet cichlid" One is more valuable then the other. This is why you should use scientific names. It stops a lot of confussion!:)

#336321 Breeding All The Time

Posted by aquacouple on 12 March 2015 - 10:48 AM

Don't focus so much on trying to breed your fish. Just focus on keeping your fish happy (good water, good food etc.) if you have happy fish they will reward you with breeding:) i find that the less you mess around with them the more they will breed!

Is there such thing as a "small 4 footer"? Isn't 4 foot, 4 foot? Lol:)

#325376 L Number For 35 Liter Tank?

Posted by aquacouple on 21 August 2014 - 04:12 PM

Oto's are a Loricariidae catfish, they just haven't been given a "L" number, but they still are a "L" catfish. Therefore your tank isn't to small for a L number. Lol. I had a planted tank a few years ago with Oto's, I came home one day too hundreds of the smallest catfish fry I have ever seen! The few I have now are the grown up fry from them:) so if they are happy they will breed for you:) I think a couple of Oto's would be better on the filter than mystery snails, as mystery snails get quiet large.

#325290 L Number For 35 Liter Tank?

Posted by aquacouple on 21 August 2014 - 08:59 AM

I have a tank about the same size with a betta, a few tetras, plants, and 2 Oto's. Just running a little spongy in it and everything is good:)

I have seen these uarus at the shop for a while now, and finally decided to get them. (got them to do a trade for some of my fry:) there are 5 all together but I got one for free as it seems to have a swim bladder problem. I have him Quarantined, but he isn't doing the greatest. The other 4 however are very happy:)
