Just watching some vids on Motherboard, one of there latest about the viability of people living on Mars! I might just see what happens to the first lot before I sign up :)

Its already underway Matty, the Virgin Galactic is not too far off being a commercially available flight, prices are $250,000 a seat but you can experience weightlessness, viewing the curvature of the earth not to mention the pictures you could take!

Unfortunately they have recently had some misfortunes with a test flight and a pilot died but the project is still very much going forward :)

Matty, you are mixing space trips with Mars trips...

From memory, the virgin flights are only a few hours

I think Virgin flights might be off the table for a bit, and Antares is not working out quite as planned either. I'd be waiting a while to hitch a ride or going with the Russians....

 

 

 

IMO, apart from the oxygen situation, quite a bit of the Pilbara looks like Mars...
