My 50cm Jack died last week and would like to change the look of my 6x2x2 tank to an African cichlid display. Looking to buy in bulk preferably fry or juveniles, Closer to Rockingham the better thanks

Checkout the auction listing that's this Tuesday (in a couple of days). Might be a cheap quick way to fill up a tank.

Id go another jack...… Cichlids will be very boring and plain after previously keeping a fish like that.

Any idea what happened to it? Mine was still going strong at 55cm and was knocked off by a power outage.

Are you keeping them in pure FW still? Or transitioning them to brackish?

Notorious for Flukes aren't they also?

I've never kept one, but going off some things I have read / heard

Mine was always in full fresh. If you treat them when you first get them flukes should never be an issue. People probably get them from irresponsible live feeding among a host of other issues.
