I imagine the major lfs would carry the correct size o-rings

Try Vebas seeing as they deal with a lot of eheim

Primer O-ring? Aquotix, Vebas... Maybe Morley. Ring first.

I bet it's the tap unit leaking, though....

If it's the head seal, they are instock at the moment at Aquotix, If it's the primer seal they will be in stock soon.

Better yet, take the filter to an authorised Eheim store. They can work it out for you

If you're going to replace the primer oring be sure to replace the oring on the flow indicator too. It's fairly easy to do but it can be dropped into any independant LFS that deals with eheim for replacement/ installation of those parts.

A lot of the time the leaking seal just needs removing, relube it generously with vasoline and repositioned. If the other seals are not leaking then don't disturb them, the one that usually leaks is the head seal because you have to break the seal every time you clean it. I don't use the plunger to prime so have never had to replace it.

If it's a 2026 0r 2028 Pro 2, I bet it's the taps.

Ok well. It wasn't the oring, water seems to be dripping from one of the 4 little hold down clip things.

Anyone had that before :/?

So it could be the head sealing gasket is cracked or needs a good lube as sand suggested or the head isnt seated level. Which is creating a weak point.

Try taking the head off, taking all your baskets out and repositioning them all back in to make sure they are level with the hermetic seals on correct.
CAREFULLY take out the head seal to inspect for cracks (replace if required), lubricate with vaso and reinstall.
Sit the head back on the canister double checking that all 4 sides are flat with no bulges or unevenness before re-clipping the 4 clips.

Reason im saying this is i brought one of mine swcond hand n the person i brought it off had busted 2 of the clip hinges. I took it home to fit and as soon as i opened her up i found all baskets were not lining up, and all 3 hermetic seals were pushed onto the little plastic tube that connects the head to the baskets. No wonder she had killed the thing.

The head is filling up slowly from the leak and it is exiting at the lowest point, which is under the clip.

I have had it on a couple of 2028 canisters and always found it to be the tap unit. Primer O-ring is suspect as well.

Primer, flow indicator, tap Orings.... Change those and it will stop leaking.
Im at Aquotix all day tomorrow - I can fix it while you wait - just bring me the head and taps.

That's why there still around and the rest have gone under. Shops that take your details and never get back to you after saying they will, never see me again.
