We've all kept nice fish, but is there a fish soooo awesome that you can look back and say...

" i have had the privilege of owning a......."

We might be here all day, so lets limit it to TWO! hehe... top two ok! 8O

For me... Id have to say:

1. TsN
2. Endlicheri Polypterus ( tiger bichir )

I wouldnt say I've had the privilege to own anything, but the reverse that my fish have had the privilege to have me as the owner! especially the male fishes. I work hard to pay to give the buggers the best food, heaps of female concubines and they dont even have to work for a living and when I end up having to take care of the babies I dont even charge child support, man like I said the fish get the privilege, screw them  .

Better change the question to what were two BEST fish you've owned.

Think my two personal faves so far has been my Silver Aro and TSN both awesome fish.

The Ctenopoma acutirostre bushfish was the first exotic fish i owned and it was by far the best. its still one of my fav fishes of all time. the excitement of watching it eat its first share of ghost shrimp was a memorable moment. specailly in the early days when i had 3 and they use to hunt for them in a pack. Never seen that before with any other fish.

2nd would have to be the bristlenose..the fish that first got me interested in aquariums. The males odd appearance and ease of breeding was what intrigued me the most.

No. 1 for me is my pack of Petenia splendida, they have a huge gob and can go with just about anything.

No. 2 is my clown knife, can't get over the fact it has 5 spots on one side and only 1 on the other.

Haha...clay, i agree that is pretty spun out!

Sounds like i should have fed my bush fish live when i had them... never got to experience the pack hunt...sounds wikid tho...

I forgot to mention why i chose the two i chose...

1. Tsn: simply because i have never kept a fish that attacks the way these guys do...similar to the pics on the front cover of the newspapers when those big sharks attack the schools of fish... sikkk!

2. Endli: Just an awesome looking fish, with that prehistoric feel... Equally as impressive to watch feeding live...

e.

i'd agree with blakey on the oscars, absolutely great fish. Feeding wise is great (the poor goldfish) and personality wise they are great fish that can recognise the owner and previous owners lol.

and second i'd have to say the f/w moray eel, for every reason (looks, hunting, eating, and son on). a great fish?

and the sara's have to get a mention, i've only had mine for 3 weeks but he/she shows great personality and striking looks, beautiful fish smile.gif
