New tank is up and running! But looking slightly on the empty side...

I have moved all the fish I had "to go in new tank" to their new home. Been set up and running for a while and no dramas so far!
Few bits and pieces to do/get but I can do all this with fish in the tank "mostly cosmetic".

If anybody would like to share any ideas on some more unusual/large/exotic specimens I could put in here also that would be great.

Currently in the tank;

-Bay Snook pair
-Dovii Pair
-Jag pair
-Red Oscar
-Jardini
-Common Gibi
-Gold Spot Plec
-BN Trio
-2 Feather Fin Synadontis

Picking up an ID Shark from Aquotix "hopefully this week" depending on when my side lids arrive.

I am also going to be growing out 10 P Bass juvis in the spare 6x2 I have now. "So I guess you can say I now have a fish shed" haha.
Plan is get a male and 2 females for my tank and off load the rest at a good price seeming everybody's chasing them! "Don't really care about making a profit. Just be nice for some more people to keep these amazing fish!"

Couple of photos of the tank, looking on the empty side.

Feel free to spitball any ideas/fish!!

Cheers

Sam

He sure is! Got so much character as well! I measured him before. From bottom
Of the tail to tip of mouth 37cm. He is missing a fair chuck off his tail from a young age. If he had that he'd be even longer smile.gif

Cheers Dan. He's a sick fish.

Yeah still in the process smile.gif there will be no air stone in the tank when it's finished! I've just left it there for now. It probably doesn't need it at all with a 6000L pump pushing a good current. Just making sure the tank doesnt get to hot in the shed as it's brick. So far it's hovering between 26-28.5 so should be fine now the weathers cooling off.

I'll let ya know when it's all finished and the proper lights hung/front cover on and you'll have to come check it out as I'm just up the road from you.

The light at the moment is just a 6ft single tube. It's pushed rite to the back as well "which doesn't help" because of the make shift lids until mine get to Aquotix. I am going to hang 2 big LEDS from the beam above. Not sure if I'm going to purchase them or build them with my mate who's an electrician.

I have kept salmon tails in the past. They are good. But I much prefer the ID Shark I picked up. I grabbed a 25cm Barra tonight actually. He fits in great!

Going to keep stocking. Changing up what I don't want with different fish I haven't kept before. Until I'm happy!

Hoping these P Bass Juvis come through quickly! I can see me clearing out some fish to put them in when they are of decent size!

Yep Bowdy knows it. 200x75x75. Really happy with the LWH.

Had a play round with the "aquascaping" so the ID Shark would have a bit more mid level swimming area. Really happy with it now. Seems to be alot more open.

Cut a couple of crates down and sat the light above the top of the tank 20cm until I get some LEDs and hang them properly from the beam above. Looks alot better lit up at the height.

Got acouple of nice 20 odd cm Symspilum and Black Belt of Daz today. They're starting to show their colours since bein moved out of an IBC smile.gif

Female Snook is fat with eggs so popped a saucer in. Hopefully she lays and I can strip the eggs and put them in another tank I have set up.

I will pull out my SLR tomorrow and take some getter pics and pop them in the Photo discussion album.

Yep can't wait til he colours up!! He's pretty ballsy compared to the blackbelt. The Jardinis had a bit of a crack at the Synspilum but doesn't seem to worry him. Blackbelt knows when to hide!
