Haha! Don't tempt me... I had a guy message my phone with a 60cm one for sale..... $650

I don't like cramming massive fish into tanks. I'm almost thinking the shark is to big. He seems to love it in there though.... Probably because he doesn't have a physco Giant Gourami chasing him round haha!

75cm wide tank.... To small for a 60cm long CGK? I've never kept one. I know they aren't real active... But not sure about putting one that big in.

Yeah I hear ya, I traded in my port Jackson shark coz I felt bad for it, he was only small but grew quick and would have easily outgrown the tank within a few months! I've never kept big GKF but the ones I've had have never seemed too active, mostly hiding in hollow logs etc smile.gif

Tank is looking good and coming along nicely.

As far as stocking goes, i'd say your not too far off max capacity as all those fish grow. A pair of jags, dovii and petenia will be interesting as the fish mature and start to spawn. Especially the dovii and jags.

A small 'school' of midwater fish would look pretty good also. Something that would provide a target for the jags and dovii as they grow. Something like tinfoiled barbs, red hooked silver dollars or ox-eye herring would all fit the bill pretty well.

Cheers man.

Yeah I'm planning on watching their behavioir as they grow. I want to get a tier setup. Maybe a couple of 6fttanks. Separate the female and have the big males only in that tank.

Don't want them killing each other for breeding space.

Sounds like a plan. Fish behaviour is never set in stone. Your fish are growing up together in a decent sized tank, so your chances of things working out are greatly increased IMO/IME. People mainly run into problems when they try keep fish in tanks that are too small, or trying to introduce large adult fish that have lived a predominantly solo lifestyle.

Yeah I agree!

I like growing them out. I've bought a few big fish in the past. But mainly pretty placid nature. I have had the Jardini since it was tiny and it will not eat any small females. But it will still eat feeders of the same size (not that I feed live fish very often).

I have think I'm addicted to the Parachromis's. I really would love to find some more that aren't seen to often and breed them.

All a work in progress.

Clearing out crap in the shed until there is nothing left but tanks haha. Insulate and heat the whole room and get a big air pump and sponge filter arangement happening so my power bill doesnt go through the roof. I am pretty conservative when it comes to waiting power!

Haha!

I've had the bug since I was 13. Just nice to have a long term rental where I know the owner and with a nice shed allows me to "get the bug"

Had worse "bugs" in the past. Cost a lot more money and get nothing from it bar a good time and an increased memory loss wink.gif
