I purchased this guy from Aquotix quite a while back. Here's a few pics of the fish in question:

For some reason, Melanotaenia splendida rings a bell. It has a silver body with a faint black bar accross the middle of the body, with an orange tail, and a green dorsal and pelvic/anal fin

Usually the red tail would mean it is a variety of Mel. Australis, not sure of locality. These are still part of the splendida group

ha ha yeah prety bad photos. thanks for pointing that out malaka :)

fast swimmer (well that's my excuse anyway)

 

I managed to get decent photos of the big boesmani in my tank
