IMO whilst the exchange rate is this good and the shops/suppliers are actually passing on the savings to the end user, I'd be snapping up the Eheims if you are in the market for a filter.

I've had Eheims some for over 10 years and I think I've replaced one impellor and one o-ring in all this time. The quality of these units far surpass any other canisters I've used and especially compared to the cheap Chinese made units all over the market at the moment.

These things will last a lifetime. Well worth the investment at these prices which appear to be only at a slight premium to a cheaper quality filter...

Don't be confused about the flow rates either. I find alot of the cheaper flow rates drastically overstate their flow rates...

And no I am not associated with Eheim/Vebas lol. Just a happy Eheim consumer. I'm also buying up big as our exchange rate soars

what do u recommend for a 6ooltr tank?

Depends a lot on fish type and load. If you are having a decent number of cichlids I'd recommend 2x2217 or 2x2228 or one of each - or a Pro 3. If you are having a lightly stocked planted tank one 2217 or 2228 should be OK.
