I just got home after a few days away, and had a look at the fish tank and noticed a flower in my Coffeefolia

Check it out:

Nice one Jase!

Ive ad mine for about 4 Months and still only given me one new leaf.

Compared to my the other Anubias sp Im finding coffefolia slow to grow. Are you doing anything special or adding any fertilisers etc?

Co2 is added to this aquarium, but it goes in the other side of a 6 foot tank. All the Anubias in this tank has quite a bit of new growth, but the old growth in my barteri (for example) doesn't thrive like the new growth.

Low flow? I guess so. Only got 2 canister filters on the tank and a bubble wall for bubbles.
Fert dosing would be Dino pee once every couple of weeks, which is only a few drops after a water change

I've had a couple of swords flower in the past. It's cool to watch, as the flowers become plants. If I remember, I'll take happy snaps of the flowers as they develop. I had a collection of pics on a thread on Auscichlids, but that forum is no longer working.

Nah just wasn't a busy forum, and the dude that run it didn't pay the renewal fee to host the website. Used to be an active forum that was started up by a guy that was one of the original PCS members. Problem was a couple of people upset a couple of other people, forum activity declined to almost nothing, and then that forum (along with a few others) was no longer. PCS is the only active forum in WA. As for interest in cichlids, I've always preferred other fish to cichlids (rainbows, killis, tetras). I'm just here to talk about fish stuff ha ha

Ah, got it. I did manage to get permission for another tank today as long as the time overall is the same. Not quite there yet but would like to try a small cichlid tank still. (Right after one more pretty plant...)

Set up a tank with the 2 black calves that Marius is selling. Tangs are awesome fish. A lot more interesting to watch than malawis
Calves? I mean Calvus

Calves are great little fish. Totally agree, Tangs are typically much more interesting than Malawis.
