If you find anyone selling coffeefolia, let me know. I'm always chasing more nice looking rhizome plants.

I don't want to cut the rhizome on this anubias, as it seems so happy growing in it's current conditions.

I'm thinking a goldvine driftwood with every branch covered in Anubias Nana would look nice, so I'm currently trying to grow out some of that plant at the moment.

Will do. Can it handle moderate water flow from canister filters?

Here are a couple of photos of the flower on the coffeefolia. I did a water change, and took these pics while the water line was lower:

And I decided to lift the bit of wood that I've had sitting in the back left corner of my tank for a few years. I put a couple of small bits of Anubias nana on it way back then, and check it out now:

And spun around view:

Wow. Stunning shots there. Hoping my new anubias gets that big (except I just saw a catfish lying on it grrr).

Yeah I'm pretty happy with the size of the nana. I won't be touching the coffeefolia though, as I want it to grow as much as possible. I'll keep my eye out for a nice branchy bit of driftwood (maybe goldvine) so I can cut back the nana on this bit and have a bit of anubias nana on every branch. That would look cool after a couple of years of growth.

Wow Jase really nice!!

One of the greatest aquarium plants barteri nana. Coffeefolia is looking great too, I finally got another leaf on mine (takes ages compared to my other anubii)

Managed to get some afzelli mini off another member, thrown 2 new leaves in a fortnight, so that's good......

You got any of the barteri petite?

I just Googled Afzeli. Looks pretty good. I didn't even know it was available here. Flick me a PM when you see it for sale again please mate.

I got a bit of Anubias Nana petite from Gezza ages ago. It's sitting in one of my tanks growing happily. Actually, I think it's on the same bit of wood that I have the coffeefolia on.

I'm going to slowly change around the plants I have in my main tank. I was hoping to sell a few bits of the wood with barteri barteri on them, and with narrow leaf java fern just to subsidise buying some expensive bits of driftwood at the aquarium shops, but even at $20 a pop I can't sell them.......

Have you ever looked at using gum tree driftwood? A nice looking small gum tree got uprooted in the storm and I'm thinking of cutting some branches to let it dry out for a year or so. Maybe off larger branches so less oils perhaps.

Will do. I'm hoping to get out this weekend. I've tried rosemary bush which the betta loved hunting around in but had too much oil for molly fry and gave them spasms. So was going to try getting the gum tree branches I want and drying out.

I have a muscat grape vine which grows like mad each year. When I did a prune a couple of seasons back, I kept some of the branches. I "planned" to strip the bark and boil the branches then soak for a few months in a large barrel, but decided against it.

I've been tempted to try grape vine or some sort of vine but never gotten around to it. I think the shapes would be amazing.

Probably be quicker if I grew my own. Something like wineries have with two branches and a central trunk (4ft across) would be nice.

Can't believe it - council has removed it already! Really liked the look of the tree as well.

Debating now if an old wood fence line with Java Fern and beer cans would work. I suspect I'd simultaneously have a good talking point for visitors and hate it at same time.

Did a water change today and the coffeefolia was top heavy and fell over. Therefore I trimmed a bit off a bit bigger than a can of beer and attached it to a bit of mopani wood. Check it out:

Glass is filthy as I havent scrubbed it in months.
Pretty happy this plant is flowering again, even with all the chopping its copped in the past few months.
