The next club meeting will be on Tuesday May 7th

Q&A with Paul from Morley Aquariums

Paul has owned and run Morley Aquariums for over 21 years now, and is one of the most experienced Fishkeepers in Perth. He is well known among aquarists and brings his wealth of experience to our May talk.

Included in his nominated subjects are:

  • Breeding:  techniques & stock selection - It's not all Barry White and candles!
  • Tank building. Paul has been building tanks for over 20 years now, so it's likely he knows something about this :)
  • Filter choice: Types, advantages & disadvantages. How many bristlenose fry does it take to stop the impellers in Otto and Eheims, respectively?
  • There will also be a Q&A for your questions related to fish keeping, so if you have any burning questions that need answering, bring them along!

So come along to South Perth Rotary Hall and ask Paul about Giant Gourami and the enormous Coventry Markets aquaria!

Our sponsor liason officer has organised some excellent prizes for the raffle table and members prize, with tickets available before the meeting and during the break.

BBQ and drinks are available as always, with thanks to Pete and Ray.

The Show Table comp will be running as with most meetings, and as usual there will be a $50 voucher for the best fish, as well as other prizes. If you need to use a club tank, PM Aquacouple to book it.

The Library will of course be available as well.

Well, that was a good talk. Found out my pair of Fuellerborni are actually Trewavassae! Learned some new things about breeding and selection. Apparently Paul is a fan of "Treat em mean, keep em keen". Who woulda  thunk it? ;)

Sick kid at home mate....... Spend all night rocking the little one to sleep kind of takes all joy out of doing anything other than wanting to get some sleep. I was disappointed I couldn't make it.
