You can edit/copy/paste/delete as necessary <-- (remove this entire line and text in brackets below)

Livestock
Name:Peppermint Bristlenose Catfish
Size:10cm+
Number:2
Sex: Male and Female
Price or a ballpark figure: $130
Shipping available? No
Photos: below / none / on PM request <-- not easy to get as they cave
For sale: Peppermint Bristlenose Pair (Not bred)
They are around 10cm and are ready to breed, unfortunately I haven't had much luck with them and they haven't bred yet. Both from different bloodlines and have good potential. Looking for $130 but will take offers. PM me for pics. Only selling because I'm shutting down their tank. Will consider swaps. Baldivis

still unknown exactly what the peppermint bristlenose is that we have in australia...

is it :-

L071 rio tapal

L181 rio tefe

L249 rio trombetas

or even starlight pleco... peppermint bristlenose... peppermint pleco... many variations and possibly what we have is a hybrid....

no-one attaches an L-number to peppermint bristlenose we have in australia as there is no certainty as to what exactly it is... one day someone may get its dna and compare it to what other countries have and eventually nail its origin and then attach its correct L-number to it if indeed its not a hybrid....

Just to add to the confusion, some 20+ years ago when "peppermint" bn's came on the scene, it was the prevailing thought that they were L059 (ancistrus hoplogenys), though I doubt that this is correct.
