Make sure you've got good cover lids right up over those corners,,,,,, those melo fry shoot up through every gap they can find.
They grow so fast to.

If your not supplying shops with ethics attached,,,,, and you can remember me,,,,, and your wanting to sell,,,, pm me when they hit 4cm and I'll buy half of them, depending at the time and price could take all.

Sometimes a good call to strip with melos, especially when young as they can sometimes be crappy holders.

Whiting with pulsating squid colors !!!!!

Good work.

Yes they can be challenging but worth it imo, plus i love eating King George whiting. Pity they don't grow as big, yes i'll keep you in mind but there are a lot chasing them. I'm trying to get them established over here so we don't have to keep importing them to WA, so i favour the more experienced fish keepers. Now i just have to get the Kilesa going, fingers crossed.

unfortunately you'll be flogging a dead horse there,,, these types fish are specialst collectors which is a very narrow market,,, only the acknowledge able know what these fish end up looking like,,,, then there's the caring for aspect.
They are what I call a dribs n drabs specie,,,,,, very small numbers sell and the limited people who want them are always extremely keen for them.
When these fish around in numbers, they always disappear,,, even in those crazy boom days when Perth was thriving with keen fisho's
Plenty people stick their hands up and say they want and will breed,,, but 1.5 years later, nothing comes of it.
In a specialist market such as this,,, the higher value is a part of what makes them desirable,,,, making them to cheap just contributes to them peedering out.

Are your Kilesa German or local ????,, if local/oz, are they completely deformity free ???

I had the Melo Nemansi,,, lucked out with to many males,, still got them breeding,,, but with all these types you get 1-1.5 years of prime breed time.
When your water chemistry and lighting right,,, they are incredible,,, many people just never see them like that.

Yesterday I noticed my Nigerian Reds have their 3rd lot of free swimming fry.

I've had no luck in getting the free swimmers past a couple of weeks old, so hopefully I'll have better luck this time.

My Ciclasoma bocourti spawned yesterday, it's not their first spawn but this time I collected the eggs so I should get lots of fry.

They are free swimming today 3/1/16 about 150 of them :)

Hopefully I'll get some from mine soon, been seeing a lot of 'flirting' between them, they have had eggs before but the female swallowed them

Tropheus is one species that as fry will survive in rock work anyway.
Adult tropheus don't hunt down fry like most other fish, but they still will eat occasional fry.

Albino angels, the parents are Tri colour but the female's grandmother was an albino. Granny didn't throw any albinos so it's been a long wait.

I found 22 Chalinachromis ndobhoi fry today when I was doing a water change, they are a bit over 1 cm so I guess they are about 2 weeks old.
