First of all just wanted to say thanks to Oliver for all his help and answering all my questions whilst I decided on a filter for my 6 foot setup. After a bit of deliberation I decided I would give one of the new DoPhin canisters a go. I popped down to Aquotix today to pick it up. And just wanted to say I really am impressed with the quality.

I picked up the UV model as I figured it was better to have it an not need it, rather than to need it and not have it. Plus to be honest, it wasn't that much more expensive which made the decision even easier :P

First thing I was impressed with was the sheer size, this thing is pretty big and looks like it means business :P I couldn't wait to get it home and set it up.

Once everything was up and running I was extremely surprised as to how quiet the filter was, there was hardly any noise and everything was running really smoothly.

Another positive was the water flow coming out, this really impressed me as it created a strong water movement throughout my tank which suits my pepps and other L's.

I'll chuck up a few photos and apologies mods if this is in the wrong section just wanted to put it out to everyone on the forums what a great product it is :)

Thanks again to the guys down at Aquotix, always a pleasure :)

Sorry Jason accidentally deleted your post :(

But I think the question was how is the filter going?

Oops! No worries. I was asking Zac for an update on this filter since he has had it up and running for a couple of months now. I'm needing to get a new canister filter in the next couple of days, and was wondering how this new filter is going.

Cheers

:)

Hey guys, filter is going great. Stoked with it, would deffinatley recommend it, you know the guys down at Aquotix will help you out with any of the specifics you need to know, i was originally running it with another filter but it's how just running by itself, the inbuilt uv came in handy too when I had an outbreak if white spot courtesy of some tetras from a chain store :P

Tetras from a chain store..... "cardinal" sin!

Get it?

:D

Oh and I ended up getting a 2nd Astro 2212 filter instead. It's a quiet filter, and I need dead silence at night or I can't sleep.
