Pics attached, its actually a lot of JF, and very nice quality too! Super happy, adds a bit more colour to the tank as the wife says (as fish alone is enough). Hopefully it'll do well.

Lol, don't know why the 1st pic is upside down. Sorry guys.

Trial and error, hope not. My understanding was JF was a plant that most fish wouldn't nibble on.

Thanks guys.

So far so good no issues or aggression really.

Still hasn't eaten, but isn't losing condition so not too worried - may have to try some feeders this weekend.

Nope, he does seem intersted in the crickets (past diet).

Read on a few arowana forums larger species have been known not to eat for over 4 weeks.

It's Windelov Java Fern which i've seen in Aquotix and Vebas however if you want a bargain it's quite often sold in the PCS auctions (next one is July wink wink).

Finally! After 4 weeks of owning the new Jardini, he decided to eat. That's longest I've had a fish not eat.... which was getting me worried!

Not the most convenient means of food, but a total of 22 crickets where eaten over the long weekend.

Have bought a couple of boxes from a pet store (since I've nearly eradicated the domestic supply at home) to hopefully bulk him up, then starve for a week and try other foods.

Massive shout out to Jase for the Anubias coffeefolia. hopefully it'll grow and last, if it looks to be coping a beating, it'll go into my bichir planted tank.

I'm sure it'll last better then my java fern did.

Also a pic of a heap of stingray pups.

Thinking to put a substrate back into the big tank, thoughts?
