Hi all, I am planning on selling these tanks as a combined setup. I genuinely have no idea what a fair price is, if anyone could advise? I have looked through the classifieds to get a sense, but the prices vary a large amount. Mods, I will update the price as soon as I have an idea what is a fair price.

It is time for me to pass on the torch with my tanks. About a month ago I had a mass fish death that was entirely my own fault. The holey rock tank had a heap of electric yellows and maingano that looked spectacular. It was pretty heart breaking having to clean them all out when I got home and found it. As much as I want to restock the tank, I do not have the time to enjoy them like I used to, so it is time for them to go while there is minimal fish to stress.

Both of these tanks run through a single sump, first through the tank with the holey rocks, then to the planted tank and then to the sump. This setup was designed to be as low maintenance and reliable as I could make it. I work away, so this was important for me. There is a UPS backup for the pump with expanded battery capacity from 2 commercial UPS batteries. I have not given this a full discharge test, but I have had it run on the batteries all day with no issues. The sump has been drilled to allow for continuous trickle water changes so I don't have to manually do water changes, although this can easily be reversed if required.

Both stands are made from wood, but are extremely stable. I over built them in a big way. They have been painted with oil based paint to ensure they last for a very long time. All piping and valving has been done in heavy duty blue line rural fittings, making all the piping easy to disassemble or modify if required.

Plants and Livestock:
-5 x silver angel fish
-3 x electric yellows
-Plants as in the images, I don't know the names.

Included equipment:
-Texas holey rock (I don't know how much in weight, but from memory it was around $500 worth to buy)
-Real wood (There is no tannin leaching from any of the wood, I have had it all in the tanks for many years)
-3 x 72w Nemo LED lights (2 on the planted, 1 on the holey rocks)
-Powerhead pump in each tank for circulation
-500w inline heater
-7.2L/min adjustable air pump
-4 pump adjustable auto dosing system with spare pump head
-1500VA UPS with 125AH expanded battery
-4 foot sump (Could do with some improving and needs a proper clean)
-Auto feeders for each tank
-Food/cleaning gear
-Spathiphyllum and Devils Ivy growing from a pot in the top of the planted tank

I should point out that I do want these to go to someone who will enjoy them, but I am not in a massive rush. Worse case I can sell the fish and pack it up.

If anyone could provide their input on, or wants to make a fair offer, that would be greatly appreciated. I can provide more/better photos on request directly.

Ryan
