I had them mixed up with Ostorhinchus rueppellii out of the swan and was wondering what the hell all the fuss was about trying to get some!
They look pretty cool, hopefully you can get some going mate!

Similar, I dare say closely related, family of fish being cardinals -where the Mouth almighty is the only true freshwater species ive read.
Wanting to get small group try to breed them (apparently easy - just hard to raise the fry), got a collector with my number ready if he catches some.

He looks awesome!! Great to see and hear about one in Perth. My Butis tries to eat new fish too.. Still sometime attempts to eat my scats although they're way too big for him to eat

Thought I'd show some photos I just found as an add on to those colour morph natives - Just found a platinum Jardini
How cool is that?!
How is your Mouth Almighty going Jules?

Anyone know of anybody or places that can get ahold of a freshwater sole?
Posted 26 August 2016 - 01:01 AM
Only place I know of that has them in stock sometimes is livefish.com.au

My Snakehead Gudgeon - has grown like a weed, really bulky fish now and about 30cm long. So pretty much full grown. They would be something really special if they hit about 60cm.
Pic is a bit old, has significantly grown since this pic - will get an update over the next couple of days.
Really mellow fish, and struggled to find it place amongst my bass originally.

Nice, I'd like one or two of these to go with the butis, bullrout and hyrtlii after they do some growing.
A couple of good shots of the hyrtlii:

So, what is it?

Nightfish or some type of little gudgeon / goby I presume? Nice photos, love the little bullrout.

Yup, Nightfish... Thought I might have you stumped with that one.
Finally found 'em... Lots of them!
Interesting read on Nightfish:
