Is that the same sort they had in that tank at morley aquariums?
The planted one you see when you first walk in the door?

These fish come in shipments of regular spiney eels and are contaminants. Next time your LFS gets a shipment of spiney eels check them out you can usually go pick out the different ones. This happens quite often.

I don't mean to spoil your deal or anything But i think Annerly aquariums in melb? was selling them for $80-125ish a few months back...

Look the truth is if you know the right people you can get these great additions to your tank as young fish that get passed Customs as "Spiny Nosed Eels"...however, you will not find an adult specimen for sale generally so any price on an adult Tyre-track, Lesser Spiny or Fire-eel is a fair one.

As for,

...what size was that at and who is going to ship em?
Come to think of it Eartheater will ship them and sell em too you, eh? What were you asking for the Tyre-track Eels you had for sale a while back Alex? :\
