Well congratulations on a couple of fronts Steve. Congratulations on spawning these guys. I have to admit to never owning these guys so I dont know what they are supposed to look like though the common concensus seems that they are real. I had to ask though!! If Hyper agrees... well who's to argue :)
The other is with regards to holding this post together. Well done mate. Its nice to see the effort put in to both the fish and not being sucked in to crap. Its a little sad to see 'your' little project exposed in this manner seeing as the boys never had these fish really available for sale. It seems it was an expression of something :lol . I know what its like having my own little albino project on the go though I wasn't really trying to spring it on the world ;) You've also got to remember that most of the people on the forums are here to help and the more Q's asked and answered the greater benifit to you. I dont really know if I can be of any help in the future mate but if I can, shoot me a mail, :\ seeing as I'm having my fair share of albino problems :wall

Cheers Charlie

hahahha peds

chuck thanks for the nice words mate
i have no reason to be suckerd into crap , ive tried ta do this the right way , although a lil premature , i think all these questions wood have been answered in there own time , as i said i love these fish , and everytime i look at my tanks , they seem ta light up the room with there colour and charisma , just gimme a little more time to develop them further , ie , i want ta mate the male back with the albuinos and mate albino with albino , and if the fry are as good quailty that i am allready producing , then i will be extatic , maybe next time theres a meeting i can make it too , or prehaps the next auction , ill bring a couple along for everyone ta see , as the pics do not do this intresting fish any justice wat so ever .
And btw chuck , ur dimis are lookin absolutely awsome mate , hats off to u , and yes they can be problematic fish to raise as they seem very weak in there early stages ( or im stripping the female too early) but since i made a lil areated in tank hatchery i seem to be able ta bring them back from the dead , i also seperate all normal fry from albinos wen i strip the fish , and have continued to raise some of the non-albinos to watch them and their characteristics and i can report that i am super happy with all the results so far
cheers steve green

Hi Steve,

I just got your email and sorry I haven't added to this thread recently, but I only check it every few days.

I've never been a huge fan of albinos, but from the couple of pics I've seen would say that these guys are one of the best albinos I've seen in the zebra types.

If they carry on like my old saulosi colony, they'd be an impressive fish to watch swimming around. I'd definitely be interested in seeing more pictures, especially showing the barring on the males.

From what I've seen so far, I'd probably keep them myself. I reckon saulosi are without a doubt the most enjoyable zebra to watch simply because they have no fear of humans and none of mine were ever skittish in the least.

Looking forward to more pictures as they grow. Keep me in mind if anyone starts to sell fry.

Regards

Andy

thanks andy
i will post more pics as they grow older and start to see some sexual differances , good news though , the last batch off 11 fry are doin well and competeing for food amoungst one and other at feeding time , so all seems to be goin well and there growth rate is better than expected (thanks to peds tafe tips)
and looks like the female has another mouthfull smile.gif
so all is doin swimmingly
cheers steve green
